WHITEHORSE— Innovation and Entrepreneurship (I&E) at Yukon College has broadened its supports for Yukon trailblazers. Formerly known as Cold Climate Innovation (CCI), the change in name is linked to an expansion in both the services the team provides and the type of innovators they support.

WHITEHORSE, YT—The Yukon College board of governors has begun recruitment for the institution’s next president and vice chancellor. The successful candidate will be the institution’s eighth president and first to serve a full term as president and vice chancellor of Yukon University, Canada’s first university North of 60.

WHITEHORSE—Over 775 new and returning credit students are enrolled in classes this fall at Yukon College a 17 per cent increase over this time last yearcontinuing a trend that has seen enrolments increase by 50 per cent since 2015.

WHITEHORSE—Presidents, vice-presidents and reconciliation leads from 31 colleges and universities have returned to their respective institutions across Canada with fresh perspectives on reconciliation, inspiration about what is possible and new relationships to support their journeys.

WHITEHORSE— As part of its partnership with Nergica, Yukon Research Centre at Yukon College participated for the first time in an intern exchange. Nergica hosted Yukon College student and research assistant Noah Sternbergh for four weeks in Quebec, while Camille St-Arneault, an intern with Nergica and student at Cégep de la Gaspésie et des Îles was hosted by the Northern Energy Innovation (NEI) team at Yukon Coll
