FNGA 100 - Introduction to First Nations Governance and Public Administration

This course serves as a broad introduction to the First Nations Governance & Public Administration program, providing an overview of the theory, application, and issues of public administration in relation to Yukon First Nations. Topics include: constitutional foundations of public administration, the machinery of government, decision- making and policy development, organizational culture and power and intergovernmental relations. The course examines concepts such as accountability, leadership, authority, citizen engagement and self-government.
