There are a number of student-run clubs and activities that you can get involved with on-campus. Check the Calendar of Events or connect with us through social media to find out what's happening!

If you can't find a club that interests you, start your own. Check out the club process document and application online or contact your Student Engagement Coordinator, Paige for more information.

Art In the Pit

Art in the PitJoin local artist Meshell Melvin for weekly art fun on campus! Free for students. Snacks provided.

4:30pm - 6:30pm every Wednesday in the Pit. 


Bouldering Club

Bouldering WallJoin Yukon College staff and students for Bouldering Club in the gym! Free for students, please present your student ID. No experience necessary! Bring your own climbing shoes if you have any.

Tuesdays: 12 - 1pm &  8pm - 10pm
Thursdays: 12-1pm & 8 - 10 pm

Chess Club

The Chess club meets every Mondays and Thursdays, from 7pm-10pm. The goal of the Club is to have fun, play and learn the game of chess.

Heen Club

Heen Club'Heen' is the Tlingit word for water. This Heen Club focuses on First Nation activities including beading, weaving and sewing combined with some group studying. Led by student Charlene Baker, the club members will share cultural traditions. Heen Club meets at 3:30 in the Harry Allen Lounge every Wednesday. All students welcome! Yukon is a charity that trains and empowers young leaders who are revolutionizing mental health. is working towards a Canada where all young people understand how to take care of their own mental health and look out for each other. A Canada without shame, and where all those who need support get the help they deserve. Yukon aims to open up the conversation on mental health with Yukon youth through initiatives that will reduce barriers to accessing support and create a positive environment surrounding mental health. Come join the fight!

The Prism group is a College peer support and social group for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning and allied students at Yukon College. As a group, our aim is to create a safe, comfortable and supportive space for those who are questioning or discovering their gender expression and/or sexual orientation, as well as providing a social outlet for members of the LGBTQ2S+ community and allies and be a source of information for anyone who would like to learn more about the LGBTQ2S+ community. Monthly meetings and events are free and open to both students and non-students to attend, and may feature various theme nights from fun and games to current event discussions impacting the LGBTQ2S+ community. We meet the last Wednesday of the Month (monthly) during school terms @ 4:00pm in Student Union Lounge (YCSU) if no event is scheduled for that month. ALL WELCOME.

Toastmasters is for students and community members. Toastermasters International provides a supportive and positive learning experience. Members are empowered to develop communication and leadership skills, resulting in greater self-confidence and personal growth. The club meets every Thursday, from 5:30pm-6:30pm in room A2714.
