Level II Carpentry Apprentice | January 6-March 13, 2020

This course is part of Champagne and Aishihik First Nations Dän Tsʼänānän program and is not open to the public. Level II Carpentry is a critical step in working towards your Red Seal (RSE) in Carpentry, and students must be registered apprentices to attend this program. From mastering tools, exploring materials, reading blueprints and understanding construction processes and implementation of safety measures, you can receive all the training you need through Yukon College.

Food Safe Level | | February 10-11, 5-9pm | $115

Food Safe Level 1 is a food handling, sanitation and work safety course designed for front line food service workers such as cooks, servers, bussers, dishwashers, and deli workers. The course covers important food safety and worker safety information including foodborne illness, receiving and storing food, preparing food, serving food, cleaning and sanitizing. The deadline to register for this course is February 7th. CRN 201618.

Dän Dákeyi Uyenjì Interpretive Guiding Course | February 17-July 17

This course is part of Champagne and Aishihik First Nations Dän Tsʼänānän program and is not open to the public. Graduates of the program will be equipped to work as wilderness guides and interpreters, and maintain land-based, culturally focused employment on their traditional lands. 

Standard First-Aid | February 19-20, 9am-5:30pm | $195

Comprehensive two-day course offering first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for those who need training due to work requirements or who want more knowledge to respond to emergencies at home. Includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines. Meets federal and a variety of provincial/territorial regulations for Standard First Aid and CPR. Exceeds competitors' standards by including injury prevention content, CPR and AED. Deadline to register is February 17th. CRN 20619.

Advanced Wilderness First-Aid Recertification | March 10-12, 2020, 9am-5:30pm | $295

Update and recertify your Advanced Wilderness & Remote First Aid/CPR-C certification in this 20hr course. Be prepared for a portion of this course to be conducted outside, regardless of the weather. Pre-requisite: current Advanced Wilderness and Remote First-Aid/CPR-C certification. The cost is $295 and the deadline to register using the CRN 20644 is March 6, 2020. 

Advanced Wilderness First-Aid | March 30-April 3, 2020, 9am-5:30pm | $495

Comprehensive First-Aid and CPR techniques for those who need a higher level of training to work and respond to emergencies in isolated or wilderness settings. Training is also suitable for those who act as guides or supervisors for groups of people. The course covers material in Standard First-Aid & CPR, plus advanced strategies for providing extended care for more than 24 hours. Part of the course is taught in an outdoor setting and requires greater physical activity and endurance than typical First-Aid training. The deadline to register using the CRN 20643 is March 27, 2020.
