Yukon College Carmacks

History

The Carmacks Community Campus has provided adult education programs to the Little Salmon Carmacks First Nation people and the wider community of Carmacks since 1986. It is now located within the Little Salmon Carmacks Administration building and continues to be a hub of activity with its focus on meeting the skills training and educational needs of the Carmacks people.

Distance & Online Learning

A wide variety of adult upgrading, video-conference, and online courses are available to students at the campus, allowing students to pursue full-time or part-time Yukon College programs.

Essential Skills for Cultural Artistry allows students to hone their 9 essential literacy skills while learning cultural arts skills from Elders and community crafters, enabling them to sell their products through a community website and at the Little Salmon Carmacks Interpretive Centre.
