The Northern Climate ExChange (NCE) is Yukon College’s climate change research group, partnering, designing and implementing applied climate change research projects in the Yukon and across Canada’s North. As part of the Yukon Research Centre, the NCE also serves as a boundary organization, providing credible, independent information regarding the impacts of climate change on northern environments and people, including First Nations, and by supporting the integration of climate change information in decision-making.

The NCE Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the NCE and its programs, including its staff of researchers and project coordinators. The NCE Manager establishes and maintains strategic directions for the NCE, and ensures these are in alignment with Yukon College’s strategic plan, vision, mission and values. Responsibilities include supervising staff and projects, seeking funding, developing and maintaining partnerships, managing operations and finances, and strategic planning.

You will have a university degree (preferably at the graduate level) in a relevant discipline, experience working in a research environment, and supervisory and management experience. You will have experience conducting northern research, working with First Nations, knowledge of natural and social science research approaches, and strong communication and financial management skills.
