Instructor, English as a Second Language (ESL)
The International unit in the Office of the Registrar offers a range of specialized courses to meet the needs of specific groups of international students.
The successful incumbent will be responsible for providing academic leadership, developing innovative curriculum, and teaching students. You will also be developing an effective learning environment for students that respects all individual learning styles as well as the diverse cultural backgrounds. Beyond the classroom, you will advising and engaging students as well as participating in student centered events.
We are looking for applicants who enjoy working in a student-centered environment and being part of a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a Master’s Degree in a related discipline (i.e., Education, English) and extensive experience teaching in an adult learning environment. Certification in TESOL or related TESL is preferred. Candidates with an acceptable combination of Bachelor’s degree with related experience may also be considered.
