This position is responsible for assisting the Chair and staff within the School of Academic and Skill Development, by providing and monitoring a broad range of support services, primarily administrative in nature. This includes providing administrative support, directing enquiries, supporting instructors/students, assisting with financial and human resources procedures and other related duties to enable the division to serve its clients effectively and fulfil its mandate within Yukon College. This is a busy, fast-paced department and this position is integral in providing strong organization for the staff and students of Academic and Skill Development.
The ideal applicant will have certification in office or business administration at a post-secondary level with related administrative experience. Applicants will have the ability to multi-task various office procedures including basic bookkeeping, word-processing and minute taking. The ideal candidate must have a strong working knowledge and understanding of Yukon First Nations as well as experience working in a cross cultural environment. A proficiency in working with the Banner network system would be considered an asset.
Candidates with several years’ experience providing administrative service in a related office environment may also be considered.
