Instructor, Policy Studies & Public Administration
Yukon College is seeking an instructor in Policy Studies and Public Administration. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching junior- and senior-level undergraduate courses in a proposed bachelor’s degree focusing on indigenous governance; the degree is currently in development and its launch is subject to approval by the Campus Alberta Quality Council.
The ideal candidate will have a doctoral degree in policy studies and/or public administration, or a doctoral degree in a closely related field, preferably with previous experience of policy and public administration within the context of indigenous self-government and self-determination.
Experience in any of the following will be considered assets:
- teaching indigenous students and/or students in remote communities
- teaching in an adult-education environment
- teaching through distance-education technologies
- scholarly activity in the field or a closely related field.
