Lab Locations
There are 5 computer labs available for students to use:
- A2301 (near Access Programs)
- A2408 (beside Public Health and Safety)
- A2702 (beside the recycling station at the intersection of hallways)
- A2704 (beside A2702)
- C2220 (Library Lab)
Lab Closures
- Classes take place in all of the labs except the Library Lab. Schedules are posted outside each lab.
- The Library lab is not available for booking, so it is always available when the Library is open.
- All labs are closed on Statutory Holidays. Notices will be posted when other closures are anticipated.

If no one is available at these locations please fill out a computer problem report form and drop it off at A2434.
Computer Lab Usage Policy
Prior to using the computer labs at Yukon College, all students are encouraged to read the Computer Lab Usage Policy.
Wireless Connection for Laptops
The Yukon College offers a wireless connection for students to use within the College and Residence, called “open”. Please view the Wireless Acceptable Use Policy, then view the connection procedure.
Computer Lab Orientation
Student Computing Services now offers an online computer lab orientation. The Orientation contains valuable information about using the student computer labs at the College.
Accessing MyYC (for detailed instructions, see ‘MyYC Instructions’ in the Resource box at the top of this page)
MyYC is the web-based portal where students access their Yukon College email, as well as other resources to assist with course work. Any browser will work. Please ensure the browser allows pop-ups and can play Flash content.
To log in go to http://www.yukoncollege.yk.ca/myyc or go to the main College webpage at http://www.yukoncollege.yk.ca and click MyYC Login.
Log In ID:
Your login ID is the first initial of your first name and your full last name
For example: John Anderson’s Log In ID is janderson; Jane Smith-Jones Lg In ID is jsmithjones
Password:
Your Password is your Banner Self-Service PIN. If you’ve never logged into Banner Self-Service, the default password is your birthdate in DDMMYY format.
For example: John Anderson’s birthdate is January 31, 1980 so his password is 310180
When you log in the first time you will be asked to change your password, and select two verification questions. The new password can be any combination of letters and/or numbers between 6 – 64 characters in length. The two verification questions are mandatory and will be presented to assist you with password recovery.
Once you successfully log into MyYC you will see the Dashboard page. To access your email, click the E-mail link under Personal Tools on the left.
