Research and Innovation for the North
Yukon Research Centre is solving northern problems with northern expertise.
These areas are supported through our YRC research associates and six key programs:
- Biodiversity Monitoring,
- Cold Climate Innovation,
- Northern Climate ExChange,
- NSERC Industrial Research Chair in Mine Life Cycle
- NSERC Industrial Resaerch Chair in Northern Energy Innovation
- Resources and Sustainable Development in the Arctic, and
- Technology Innovation.
We work in partnership with government, industry, entrepreneurs, First Nations, and communities to improve the lives of Northerners. Our in-house experts, connections across the circumpolar north, and student involvement allow us to answer your research questions and meet your innovation needs. Our door is open to all Yukoners.
The Yukon Research Centre receives it core funding from Government of Yukon's Department of Education, with funding for Cold Climate Innovation from Economic Development.
