Electrical Pre-Employment
- Pre-Employment certificate – 20 weeks
- October start
- Levels 1-3 are available through Yukon College
Students will learn the theory behind knowledge of the trade, along with hands-on shop experience to go on to train for employment as capable and knowledgeable apprentices and entry-level workers in the trade. Safety skills and awareness, and how to apply mathematical concepts to the Electrical trade, are a few of the concepts covered.
Courses include:
- Electrical Design and Code
- Wiring Methods and Practices
- Power-Actuated Tools
Apprenticeship Training Levels are 8-week programs at Yukon College offered through the Advanced Education Branch of the Yukon Government Department of Education. Students must be registered apprentices through the Advanced Education Branch to attend these programs. Currently, the following Apprenticeship Training Levels are being offered:
- Carpentry Apprentice Training Levels I, II, III and IV
- Electrical Apprentice Training Levels I, II and III
- Plumbing Apprentice Training Level II
- Welding Apprentice Training Level II
