Northern Energy Innovation is an applied research program dedicated to making electrical power systems in northern communities more reliable, sustainable, and better able to incorporate renewable energy.

We are seeking a multimedia graduate to join our applied research team for the 2024 summer season. The Multimedia Research Assistant will support Northern Energy Innovation to advance renewable energy projects in the north. You will collaborate with our research team to support applied research programs in clean energy and sustainable technology, with a scope of work to include the development of multimedia content and communication strategies.

Duties:

  • Create, edit, and maintain a Northern Energy Innovation ‘blog’. This blog will focus on sharing information about our projects, promoting energy literacy, and discussing important energy issues relevant to Yukon stakeholders.
  • Developing multimedia content ideas in collaboration with our research team and other stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to bolster the visual appeal of our research projects.
  • Research media techniques and design ideas, as needed.
  • Participate in presentations and reporting activities.

Qualifications: 

  • College student with a certificate in Multimedia Communication.
  • In-depth knowledge of software design programs such as the Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate on projects.
  • A portfolio of multimedia design content showcasing your skills and experience.
