The Office of the Registrar is seeking a Financial Aid Advisor to join a dynamic team that supports students in advance of their enrolment and throughout their studies at Yukon University.

Reporting to the Associate Registrar, Registrations & Records, the Financial Aid Advisor provides a wide variety of supports for students seeking financial aid during their studies.

In this role, the incumbent will regularly meet with students to provide guidance and support to determine the best type of available funding opportunities for their needs. They will also regularly liaise with Territorial, Provincial, and Federal government contacts to confirm applications, and maintain knowledge of eligibility criteria and updates to regulations and policies. In addition, they will seek out and support new funding opportunities available for students.

The incumbent will also be responsible for managing Yukon University award, scholarship, bursary, and emergency fund applications.

The preferred candidate will have a post-secondary degree Social Work and have experience and understanding of Canadian post-secondary financial aid processes along with experience managing complex programs and projects including research, development, planning, and implementation.
